Calligraphy poem commissions for springtime
I’ve had the loveliest calligraphy commissions already this spring, and I wanted to show you the style of delicate flowers my customers have inspired me to paint. First, a wedding gift from a mother to her daughter, illustrated with little yellow flowers. Second, a poem from a daughter to her mum, celebrating mum’s special birthday. This one included watercolour florals in a pattern border.
Sage green paper, white calligraphy ink and delicate yellow florals. The pale gold accent line finished this artwork beautifully.
A delicate flower border in pale colours sets off the white calligraphy and flourished lettering in such a pretty way!
Another pale gold accent line running through the spring floral illustration. My customer requested spacious, simple and legible calligraphy for her mum’s calligraphy poem commission.
This second piece had slightly larger flowers because my lovely customer asked for specific spring blooms. I included snowdrops and crocuses, hellebores and tiny violets.

How to Commission a Calligraphy Poem
Ordering a poem in calligraphy is simple.
First of all, please email me:
• the poem or text you would like written
• the occasion for the gift, and the date you’ll need it by
• any ideas or references for colours or style
From there I can suggest layout ideas, paper colours and finishing touches.
